Hacienda Esperanza (¨Ranch of Hope¨) will provide you, as a visitor, with the opportunity to experience the islands as an invested participant, and not just another foreigner.  Here, volunteers give back to the community through conservation work atop of the beautiful highlands of San Cristobal.  While working, you can gaze out in the vast ocean depths and truly take in the arduous journey the plants and animals made to populate this area, which you are helping to restore to the days that Charles Darwin set foot on the Islands.  Hacienda Esperanza provides volunteers with the ability to become immersed in the local culture, while helping to promote sustainable tourism and preserve the islands’ uniqueness for future generations for less than the cost of room and board on a typical vacation.  Additionally, to provides our volunteers with some well deserved relaxation, the Hacienda Esperanza offers a weekly camping trip to a major tourist site at no additional cost.
